We are delighted to announce that The Club Company has signed the R&A’s Women in Golf Charter - a commitment to a more inclusive culture within golf and a dedication to continue to grow the women’s game.
The Charter is a statement of intent from the golf industry and The Club Company, to unite and to focus gender balance at all levels. It commits us all to supporting measures to increase the number of women, girls and families playing golf, and calls for positive action to encourage women to pursue careers in all areas of the sport. It also recognises the need for change that creates an inclusive environment within golf and our clubs.
Our aim is to increase the number of women and girls playing and working in golf - a goal already evident through many areas of our business. Currently we are proud to celebrate three female board members, three General Managers and a Club director in the senior team, along with hundreds of other women that work across our portfolio.
Our ambassador and Ladies European Tour player Cara Gainer has also been a fantastic support, and we're delighted to work alongside her towards our shared goal of growing the women’s game.
We're committed to encouraging and supporting all of our clubs to introduce more women, girls and families into golf through various routes, and are excited to support future campaigns and initiatives which champion this initiative.
We now seek to appoint a designated Charter Champion within each of our clubs who can assist with the promotion and reporting of the charter.
