The Tytherington in Macclesfield is progressing through a significant investment programme, with a new spa space set to open in September 2026 – the latest phase of a wider programme of investment spanning fitness, wellbeing and outdoor sport at the club.
Set within the Cheshire countryside alongside an 18-hole championship golf course, The Tytherington has spent the past year enhancing its facilities as part of The Club Company’s ongoing investment across its portfolio of 17 golf and country clubs throughout the UK.
Brand-New Gym and Enhanced Class Offering
The investment began in November 2025 with the launch of a brand-new gym, equipped with the latest Technogym equipment and designed to provide an inspiring environment for every type of workout.
In March 2026, the club further expanded its fitness offering with a new, larger holistic studio. The additional space has increased class capacity and supports a timetable of more than 140 classes each week, all included as part of membership.
The club also introduced a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio, giving members access to one of the most sought-after forms of low-impact training. Suitable for all abilities, Reformer Pilates uses controlled movements to build strength and flexibility, improve posture and support balance, with sessions included as part of membership.
Three New Padel Courts
The club’s racquets offering is also expanding. From August 2026, The Tytherington will introduce three permanent, fully floodlit padel courts, available for play from 7am to 10pm.
Court bookings will be included as part of membership, further strengthening the club’s existing outdoor padel offering, while the courts will also be available for non-members to book.
Transformed Spa Space
The next phase arrives in September 2026 with the opening of a stunning spa transformation, designed to provide members with dedicated opportunities for relaxation, recovery and wellbeing.
The new spa will feature an aroma steam room, infrared sauna, heated loungers and a fireside retreat, alongside a refreshing spa pool, cold plunge and drench shower.
More than simply an enhancement to the club’s existing facilities, the new space has been designed to create a calm and considered environment for rest and recovery, complemented by its setting within the Cheshire countryside.
The investment reflects The Tytherington’s evolving approach to wellbeing, placing greater emphasis on recovery and relaxation alongside its established fitness and sporting offering.
With further investment planned later in the year, The Tytherington’s development continues, strengthening its offering as a destination for fitness, wellbeing, sport and social connection.
